Since the purpose of this blog involves parts of my daily life, it is best to tell you who I am and about how I got fascinated into the topic of online aesthetics.
My mother encouraged me to be creative even at a young age. She tells me that the moment I could pick up a pencil, I was writing and drawing. Writing in a juvenile journal developed in owning a blog where I documented my art and daily outfits . As I changed clothes, put on makeup, and focused on my personal interests, I felt like I was a someone else in a strange, fascinating world. Every day, I sought out ways to make my mundane Midwest life an adventure. Studio Ghibli, Legend of Zelda, and an endless list of young adult novels fueled the flame.
I relished in the attention and compliments others gave me. The idea people thought I was a fairy princess, an ancient librarian, or a sunflower child brought me joy. Undoubtedly, I felt like an artist of some kind that gave ideas of who Anne was.
However, I burned out after exploring different aesthetics and trends. I wanted to follow so many trends I loved, do all the activities, and of course, have the time and money for it.
Through this blog, I want to build a community where a slow, romanticized view of life is achieved. While I still strive to be a lady knight, I keep in mind I cannot do this everyday and it is okay to not always be aesthetic. You can definitely find a lot of resources out there! Start out by checking my first thrift hop in a new neighborhood!
